Athens’ Cornfest is an annual village festival, marking it's 33rd year in 2013, that allows you to be welcomed into the heart of village life. A few of the many features include live music all day long and fresh buttered corn made using power from an old fashioned steam engine. find out more
 

 

New to Cornfest this year is Carleton Place, Ontario native, Brea Lawrenson. Brea is a Singer/Songwriter whose collection of songs reflect her personal experiences and aspirations.

Her video, If I'm Not Here Tomorrow, is dedicated to all military men and women and has been aired over the Military Network and on MAJIC 100 FM's Top 20 Countdown Television Broadcast.

Brea has performed at RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest, the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame Show, The NAC Fourth Stage (where she held her first Video Release Concert for her song I Will Be), this spring will be part of the Canadian Red Cross "No More Bullies" Tour in Saskatchewan not to mention her appearance at numerous other festivals across Canada and the United States. We are thrilled to have her at this years Athens Cornfest.

 

 
Dawn Beyer
Dawn is a rock solid Artist with a natural, soulful and obvious talent to sing, play and write! Born in New York and raised in Texas, she offers versatility among her strong country roots. As a songwriter, she writes with an insight and maturity well beyond her years, penning songs with all the ingredients to be tomorrow's hits! 

Dawn brings a life-of-the-party energy with her spunk and sense of humor, but then switches horses mid-stream to display a closely guarded and vastly complex softer-side. Dawn wins you instantly and draws you into her world through her music.

Dawn Has perfomed with and opened up for artists such as George Jones, Willie Nelson, and many of the great country singers we have all grown up listening too. Her Musical influences include “Daddy Jones” and Garth Brooks. Dawn has been making music since she was 9 years old, and now at the age of 27 she is living the dream in Franklin Tn and loving and enjoying every moment of it.
